Computer Arts Post

This tutorial is about how to make your own creative font using the Liquefy tool in Photoshop CS3 or later. The first thing they did was make the basic structure of all the letters, using shapes like circles and triangles. Then, they gathered some photos of random objects, like cars, chairs, and other things. Next, they began to distort those photos with the Liquefy tool and fit them roughly into the area of the letter structure. (Note: You can use more than one object per letter.) Lastly, they made marks using the brush tool to improve the look of the letters until they were satisfied. I think it'd be interesting to try this, but I don't know if I will.

This is a sick font!I cant imagine the time they put into each letter.
ReplyDeleteHey, this font is super cool and it would look great when contrasted whith whites and greys. The only thing i do not like is that I can't read it very well. Winky face.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cool font. I like the water effect a lot! It makes me want to look at it and possibly design something like that.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool font. i want to try something like that
ReplyDeletethis font is totally awesome! it just flows and looks so cool although it took me a sec to figure out what it actually was...
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome to learn how to do this. At first i thought it was pics of people that had been distorted.
ReplyDeleteI like how they just use every day objects to make letters, even if it doesn't look like them. It's almost smokey instead of liquidy, and it looks kind of mysterious. It's a little hard to read, but it'd be fun to play around with.
